Tim Easterling, Executive Chef of The Pearl in the Short North Arts District, thought the idea of being a chef was fascinating from a young age. “The power of food is very interesting,” Easterling says. Prior to joining Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) in 2018, he gained experience in a variety of positions and kitchens.
A native of Pickerington, Ohio, Easterling says “It can be a tough industry to be in,” when asked what advice he has for those interested in pursuing a career in restaurants and hospitality. “You get out what you put in, and it is very rewarding.”
Easterling currently resides in Hilliard, Ohio, with his partner, Jill, three dogs, Arkin, Ruby, & Draco, and cat, Frankie. His favorite CMR dish is the Butternut Squash Tortelloni from Martini Modern Italian. Outside of work, he enjoys recreational sports, playing video games, and cooking.
